Abstract
The main objective of the study was to compare mathematical study skills and creativity in normal and weak students in mathematics. The statistical population consisted of 1259 male students in the third grade of primary school in Aligudarz city. According to Morgan's table, the sample size was calculated as 297. First, 300 students were selected by cluster random sampling, of which 75 students obtained a z score of less than -2 in the K-Math test (weak students in mathematics). 75 students from the students who obtained a z score above -2 were also selected by simple random sampling (normal students). To collect data, Carlin Hooper's (1993) mathematical study skills questionnaire and Abedi's (1993) creativity questionnaire were used. Descriptive statistics techniques (mean and standard deviation) and at the inferential level, skewness and kurtosis tests for data normality, Levine test, M-box test, one-way analysis of variance and multivariate analysis of variance (using Spss 22 software) were used. The results showed that there is a significant difference in the mathematical study skills and creativity of normal and weak male students in third grade mathematics in Aligudarz city.
