Investigating the Necessity and Analyzing the Place of Media Literacy Education in Iran's Educational System

Abstract
Increasing the quality of education is one of the main concerns of the education system in most countries of the world. In educational centers, teachers have a special position that to improve their efficiency; Considering the use of information and communication technologies in learning and education, students should be equipped with appropriate media literacy. Considering this importance, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the position of media literacy in education. The research was a review method, in order to achieve the goal of the research, articles related to the research keywords from 2000 to 2022 were examined from the civilica magiran, sid, researchgate, sciencedirect databases. The results showed that the improvement of school education in the new era, in addition to the need for information and communication technology infrastructure, the abilities of teachers and students in using new technologies and the interaction between teachers and learners, etc., require the benefit of teachers. and students of media literacy. Therefore, one of the factors that can have a positive effect on school education in the new era is teaching media literacy in the education of students.
